I recently needed flip flops for a trip so I went to California Sidewalk at Horton Plaza. It’s such a cute store, has a summer, beachy feel. Best of all are the walls covered in flip flops.  There were so many choices.  They carry Havaianas which are my favorites but had a bunch of other brands I was not as familiar with like Rainbow and Ipanema. I stuck with the Havaianas but chose pink instead of the black I would normally choose. That’s when the fun began. You can personalize them with crystals which I happen to love. They had a few different boxes of choices to choose from in both gold and silver backed crystals. Hearts, stars, flowers, and more! They had charms and other decorations that were spiral and wrapped around the strap on the flip flop. You sit at a little station to choose what you want and then you can either watch them customize your sandals or browse while they’re doing it. After I finally decided on the crystals I wanted, it took maybe 5 minutes for them to affix the crystals. The longest part of the process was deciding what shoes to pick and how to decorate them! I loved how they turned out and what a great gift idea for my girlfriends…
